How the Great Pride came to be...

Here's the reason we created The Great Pride:

TITLE: Warnings.

Okay, I've let these matters simmer for some time, but now its really starting to annoy me.

Some members are posting way too fast for others to keep up with and its becoming confusing. So, from now on I'd appreciate it if you guys could slow down a little bit and at least make it so everyone posts once in the rp before replying again.

Also, I've also noticed that some members are typing up pointless 1-2 liner roleplay replies, and this is really annoying me, you can't do anything with pointless 2 liner replies, just describe something, or someone, I don't care, just try to keep the replies a little longer, so it gives the person(s) something to work with.

Jessica and I found this completely rude. It shouldn't be a punishable offense that we're active enough to post, and they ignored our posts and left us several pages behind.
I have never, in my life, written a one liner post. The person that complained to the admin and caused this to get set out has been writing nothing but two-liners lately. Describing other things to lengthen posts doesn't make it any easier for other people to post. I only had one character in that pride, so I couldn't give them two sentences each like the admin did.

So, give them a big hand if you're enjoying the board! Without them, we wouldn't have the Great Pride!

In reply to that and to say we were leaving that board, I posted this:

TITLE: A Farewell

In late of recent events, “Rasalin” and I have decided to leave this board. We love this board and at least the majority of the characters, but the…atmosphere here has just been pushing us away. Though our time roleplaying here has been short, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ve relocated to a new lion board, which can be found here: thegreatpride.proboards80.com/index.cgi

A word of warning, though…If any of you get upset with us for some reason(I’ve put this post politely as I possibly could, seeing how disgusted we are at certain behaviors towards us) and decide to spam our board or something of the like, I, at least, will not hesitate to do the same to this one. We have the right to have our own board that expresses our own views!

That aside, though, the most of you are welcome to join. So long as you can adjust to our rules, that is. I’m not asking for you all to transfer with us, just welcoming any who would like to rp with us as well.

I apologize for any rudeness I have expressed, but this isn’t even half of what I would say should I have not contained my…disgust.

After reading your 'farewell' post, I really, really don't understand how we have treated you badly. We've all been roleplaying with you and I haven't seen anyone act horrible towards you.

I'm totally confused, I'd really rather you explain everything out to me through here, to give me an understanding of what we have supposedly done, because I, and some other members are lost at your reason for leaving.

I've also deleted your farewell board due to the fact of advertising almost a mere image of our board, which you have created. I do not accept board advertising on here.

Part of the reason we were up set is from the Warnings message. If this hadn't been sent out, we might have stayed around, but this was completely unfair.

As for the farewell board, I know for a fact that you could have edited out the link if you didn't like it. The rest, on the other hand, is my opinions. I should get to say bye. I'm sure only a few members have gotten to see that we've officially left, and don't appreciate you leaving other members in the blank about it.

I am going to make another farewell board, but leave out the link. It will be different. I want the members to know we are gone, most likely for good.

A slightly redeeming reply:

I'd like to point out, that those PM's were sent to everyone. Not just you and Rasalin, as one person (which I can say wasn't either you or Rasalin) was replying constantly with pointless two liner replies. Well maybe you don't struggle with replying to one-liners, but I do know of others around here that do, and I wasn't directly pointing these on you, the PM was just sent out as a reminder, it wasn't sent out to have ago at everyone.

I knwo I could, and I realised that after I had deleted the board, and I'm sorry that I done so. As far as I'm concerned, all the members that are active here were on last night and got to see your board.

And I just asked if those who post alot could slow it down a little, I didn't intend for it to sound rude or whatever. But I got a complaint from one of my friends on here, who found it terribly hard to understand what was going on in the roleplay because it was moving waay too fast for them to keep up.

Well, both of us recognised at least most of that message to be directed at us, which caused us to get upset. Now I wouldn't want to go bashing on your friend, but Rasalin and I had each only posted twice when she complained about us getting ahead.

As for the short replies, I took that to mean us, as we've been sharing a case of writer's block between the two of us, and had been posting shorter replies than normal. They were not two liner, though, just a bit shorter.

Though this clears it up a lot, I'm afraid I'll still have to leave. I do appreciate your kind reply, though.

Well, I can honestly say that the two liner replies weren't directed at you guys, I enjoyed your replies, they were always (at least I think, I'll have to go take another look *has a rub-censored- memory*) at least a paragraph or so long and I could handle that.

And you may of only replied like that between you, but if I recieve a complaint, I'd rather get it sorted out than leave it out and forget about it. Otherwise things would of got worse.

But if you feel that you have to leave, then leave, I'm not one to sit and beg for people to stay, I just let them do what they want.

As I'm not sure that everyone was aware of this, I wanted to post again a short farewell.

"Rasalin" and I have decided that it would be in our best interests to leave this board. We pop in to check up on you guys every now and then, but we'll be sticking to our new lion board, The Great Pride. I have been forbidden of posting a link to it, so I only hope that we will meet again sometime, as you are all wonderful roleplayers.

I do hope, though, that we could be welcomed anew, should our board go under and we need a refuge for our lions. This was the beginning of our Lion roleplaying eras, and I should hope that it will not be forgotten.
