A large herd of Zebras could be seen from atop the grassy plain. Their black and white striped bodies melded together, forming one moving mass. They were yet to realise that at least one of them would not live to see another day. One beast was grazing far to the side, a strong male, though injured from a previous hunt. He would make a perfect target.
Nasiche sneered. The Banished would eat well! The male had eluded her once before, but he was signifigantly weaker this time. This time, she would succeed. The lioness had grown cold and defensive since her Banishment. She was lean, but, at the same time, her limbs were thick and tough with sinew.
There was a slight rustle in the grass as the winged lioness crept up along the side of the herd. It was too little to be noticed, though, and they continued to eat. How easy this would be! A simple pounce on her chosen target and a tear of the flesh and she would be in the clear...

Bakari was resting on his belly, slowly creeping towards the Zebra herd. He smirked, luckily he was downwind from them. Bakari had left his mother, who seemed to him crazed, and his sister, who is just wanted dead. Yet still, with his weak mother, he knew he had to atleast bring her food befor he told her he was leaving her for good.
Kar inhaled, he could clearly smell something from up ahead. Not to far up so that it was on the other side of the herd. It smelt like lioness, and close to the bushes as well. Bakari smirked, slowly creeping towards the grass where the female was at, he finally was right behind her.
Not risking frightening the herd, he didn't roar. "Hello" he said, it was too low for any of the Zebra to hear. Bakari waited for the lioness to turn around, shaking his black mane and looking back at the herd.

|| Hi there. ^-^ ||
Cleo trotted towards the Herd lands, and away from her mate and the Pride Rock. She sheathed and unsheathed her claws every now and then, itching to get out and into the hunting grounds.
~*~*~*~
As she neared the Herd Lands, she was lucky enough to spot a smaller herd of gazelle grazing amongst the thick grasses. This would have been quiet lucky indeed, if there hadn’t been a group of zebra near the gazelle. She’d scare both groups off if she attacked one, and she didn’t want that, but she needed at least one of the zebra or gazelle. She was closer to the gazelle, so she chose to have them as her prey, rather than risk getting scented by either if she moved more towards the zebra. She immediately sunk into a crouch, nearing a gazelle slight away from it’s herd.
As she neared, she caught a slight scent of a distant, yet familiar, scent. Her ears went up and she stood slightly so that her eyes barley came to the surface of the tall grass around her. She couldn’t see anything but the two herds, but she knew she’d smelled the familiar scent, and it hadn’t been stale or too far off. She narrowed her eyes, but sunk down again to a crouch. Though her mind remained on the scent. Nasiche was near.

Nasiche couldn't roar without risking scaring away the herd, so a low growl rumbling in his thoat had to surfice. "It's unwise to come up behind a lioness stalking her prey...you could get hurt." She paused to sheath and unsheath her claws, though she didn't give to male the honor of looking back at him. "...Especially considering you to be a rouge male, coming up behind the Queen of the land on which you hunt." All while she hissed in dangerously hushed tones, she never took her eyes off of her prey. Finally, the time came to make her move. She leapt at the Zeebra she had injured previously, usinging her tattered wings to make the pounce all the more deadly. Within moments the flicker of life had faded from the Zeebra's eyes, but not even the scent of fresh blood could mask the unmistakeable smell of her brother's mate. A wicked smile grew acrossed her face. "Why Cleopanahi, hunting alone? I would have expected you to come in the company of your hunting party!" The male was no longer important...a direct link to the one who had Banished her from the lands that were her birth right was a far better catch.

“Nasiche.” Cleo hissed, glaring at the female that now stood on her fallen prey. She rose once more from her crouched position and unsheathed her claws. She had only hoped not to make her presence known to the cruel banished Queen.
“I need no hunting party to go out hunting.” She sneered, and nodded to the herd of gazelle and zebra that had run from the area after Nasiche’s attack. “Apparently your harsh ways have cause dread.” She said, she stood calmly in her place, and remained there as she continued to glare at the other Queen. She didn’t break her gaze as she scented the other lion not far behind her.
“Clearly you haven’t found it kindly apon yourself to welcome another, have you Nasiche?” she said mockingly, as she sat down on her haunches, though ever present of the danger of meeting this banished Queen. Her claws remained sheathed as she sat, her eyes locked with Nasiche

"Come, now! Through my brother's fancies, though that alone, we are sisters! Must you take such a harsh tone?" She asked, a mock-hurt expression on her wicked face. She sneered, how twisted her mind had become completely exposed in that lone expression. She tore a strip of meat from the fallen beast, making sure to splatter as much blood as possible so as to intesify the grotesque air to her appearance. Swallowing the chunk of meat, she spoke again. "Do you see what my brother, your mate has done to me? At the time I needed him most, he turned his back on me. And yet you question my cruel ways?" She strode closer, until her face was beside Cleo's, her breath hot upon the other lioness's cheek. "Compared to what I've been through, that zebra has it easy." She hissed, before spitting at the other Queen.

Cleo’s glare sharpened as Nasiche nearer her. Old memories flooded through her, when Nasiche hadn’t been the cruel hearted as she now was, nor as torn and cut. What had led her to kill her own mate, she did not know, and she chose not to ask in fear of feeding to the already harsh atmosphere.
“I thought it clear why Aakesh chose to banish you, Nasiche.” Cleo growled, turning to face her, she wouldn’t dare break into a fight at the time being, even though she did bare her fangs and hissed a bit. “Or was it not you who murdered your own mate?” she dug, her eyes much colder than how she’d been just moments before, when she been stalking the gazelle.
“Aakesh did what was thought of him as a king. He didn’t have much of a choice.” Cleo continued, her gaze softening slightly as she thought.

"Neither did I!" she hissed, glaring. Then it struck her how dumb to the whole situation the "queen" seemed. "You don't know, do you?" Understanding washed over her face, before hatred took over once more. She turned sideways, whipping what left she had of her tail about in agitation. "So he didn't tell you...He had always doubted the truth, though I had never lied to him before..." She trailed off for a moment before turning her fierce glare back on Cleo. "I don't regret in the least that brute that I had been so foolish as to call my mate's fate. It was deserved a thousand times over! You see these scars? The rips in my once glorious wings? My magnificent tail, reduced to a stub? HE DID THIS TO ME!" Tears were actually welling in her eyes as the memories flooded her mind. After a pause, she turned away. "This matters not to the likes of a pride lander. I will take my kill and leave. Do what you wish with the foolish male..."

Cleo’s claw unsheathed and her glare disappeared as if it had never been there to begin with. She continued to sit as her eyes still followed Nasiche, her mind wandered silently. Nasiche’s own mate had done this damage? Why hadn’t she said anything to Aakesh or to anyone else if he had been so brutal to her?
Nasiche’s words seemed very far off as she was caught numbly in her own mind’s world. She blinked to free the thoughts as she returned to the Herd Lands. She looked, then, to Nasiche again, no expression seemingly on her maw.
“If what you say is right, then why have you not spoken to Aakesh of this?” she said, still slightly numb from what she’d heard. “Why did you not tell him of that when you were still…In the pride?” She continued. Her mind was still wandering back to how she herself had not noticed such harsh things happening to Nasiche.

At first she shook the question off, but then she turned back to Cleo. A look of pure hatred consumed those clouded golden eyes. "He was distracted by other things, such as yourself. Why bother with his sister when he had a mate to bring joy into his life? You've only brought sorrow, no, PAIN to mine." Of course, other details had also distracted her twit of a brother, but the more guilt Cleopanaphi felt, the more sick joy Nasiche did. She did, after all, suffer a fate, by some standards, worse than death.

Cleo’s glare resurfaced again and her claws sheathed once more. How could she have felt sorry for such an awful lioness? She hissed, and then stood up, digging her dark claws into the hard dirt angrily.
“You are of a cruel kind, Nasiche. It is quite amazing by far, that you are related to Aakesh.” She growled as she turned side way, getting ready to leave. “Though you do, in fact, share the same blood. So I suppose we just have to see where life’s cruel fate takes us next.” She continued.
“Till next time, Nasiche.” She said, nodding a farewell as she bound off into the tall dried grass behind, headed once more back to the Pride Rock, where she would tell such current events to Aakesh.

She turned her back on one of the ones who had done the same to her in her time of need, and took ahold of her carcass. It was only then that she remembered the male. "You! Are you coming with me or going with her? She is Queen of the pridelands, I of the banished. Unless, of course, you'd rather stick around here." She began to drag her zebra away, not even bothering to wait for him to decide.

[Wow, no offence, and I'm not mad, but you could have waited...Oh well, haha.]
Bakari looked at the two, he could see that both were queens, and both held something strong. Nasiche, as her name was, looked beaten, scarred by her past. Cleo, it seemed looked perfectly fine, well taken care of. Kar knew that they had forgotten him completely, taking care of their long lasting hatreds. Then, did the banished fea speak. It was simple who he'd choose. Nasiche. Nasiche seemed more like the better match for him. He couldn't stand Aekesh, for some reason, and it seemed she couldn't either.
Bakari padded towards her, ignoring Cleo completely. He had no business with her. Kar grabbed the leg of the Zebra, using his large jaw muscle to pull it forward. "So, which way is it?" he asked, not looking into the banished witches eyes.

((Yeah, sorry. We got a little carried away with the feud. ^^; ))
"What way do you think! The way we're headed!" she snapped at him, none too pleased that he had taken ahold of the meat she had rightfully earn...just as she rightfully deserved the lands that her enemy headed into. After awhile of dragging the dead beast, her curiousity got the best of her. "So what makes you want to join my pride? Things are better withHer...only those who must, the Bansihed, come to my home. Never a willing soul." ((You can reply here, then I'll switch over to their arrival in the lands of the Banished on that board. M'kay?))

Bakari sighed, "Yeah, but this leg is gonna break off if I go the other way your going" he muttered, licking at the blood that dripped from the wounds he had made. "Well, I just don't like Aekesh. Or any of the others. I guess it's just me" he shrugged, only slightly thinking of what his mother and sister were doing. He had completely forgotten about them. He shrugged the thought away, that was behind him now.
