Great, feathery wings of a sky blue hue stretched as the magestic king awoke. His enormous maw opened into a yawn, before giving his slumbering queen a light lick on the cheek. He then padded quietly out of the royal den. Once outside, the king flew up to the protective cliff surrounding his pride's dens to watch the sun return to it's rightful place at the sky's peak.
Once again, his jaws opened, this time to release a mighty roar to greet the day. Such was the ritual of the Sky King, and so he did. He inhaled deeply, recognising a new scent intermingling with those firmiliar to him. Change was in the air...it was coming.

The morning sun shone brightly down onto the front of Pride Rock, making the smoothed stone look like gold. From the back of the cave, the Queen, Cleopanaphi, laid. Her head was on her paws, and her right eye opened. A soft smile pierced her maw as she watched her mate walked to the edge of the sun-strained rock. She lifted her head and opened both of her eyes, letting a light yawn escape, as she stood. Her golden bracelets around her paws jingled slightly, as she made her way out of the den and towards the rock above. Beautiful dark brown-black symbols stuck to her golden-tan pelt, and a shining jeweled necklace clung to her thin neck. She padded over the smoothed rock and took a seat next to the King, giving him a lick on the side of his maw as she sat.
“Anything new coming?” Cleo asked, the morning sun bathing her pelt, and she closed her eyes, soaking it in as best she could. Today promised to be a gorgeous sapphired sky day.

Aakesh smiled at her before turning back to the lands that they ruled. "Change is in the air, my love. Something is definately coming, though I'm not sure what. Maybe you'll find out soon..." He licked her on the cheek again before rubbing his head against hers. The winds swirled around them, like a sort of embrace. The king pulled away and spoke, "My only worry is that my sister is involved...if-if only..." He began to stutter and mumble, a common thing for him when speaking of his sister's banishment. She was right to fight the abuse, though murder was a bit much. If only she'd told him! maybe then it would be her late mate in the Lands of the Banished, not her...

Sorrow filled Cleo’s eyes as she stared at her mate. Because she was always seen smiling, her smiled seemed even sadder than ever been seen for this cheerful lioness. She entwined her tail with Aakesh’s and gave him a small comforting smile.
“It is… regretful,” She started, stumbling for words. She hated for Aakesh to be so sad. “But, we can’t do anything about that… now…” she trailed off, and her dark emerald eyes swept over to where they could barely see the darkened Land of the Banished.
“I can only hope, that my visions will… tell me what is happening soon. So that… we can be prepared.” She looked back to her mate, a larger smile forming as she tried to comfort him.
She buried her maw into Aakesh’s mane and then lifted her head again to looked happily at him. “Troubled times will pass, and it will all get better.” She said, with a smile.

He nuzzled her back. "Yes, I do hope we find out soon...and it is behind us. The past has happened, now the future must unfold. I just don't see how she could have done something soo...horrible! She was so sweet and caring..." He shuddered, thinking of the horrible crime. "The winds never told if the outcome would be good or bad. Perhaps something good is coming..." This brightened his mood, some, and he once again gazed out happliy at the vast lands.

Cleo smiled as Aakesh returned to his peacefully happy self. She gave him a finally loving nudge, and then turned away from the beautiful gaze. She began to hop down from stone to stone, until she made it to the soft dirt below the rock. She looked up to Aakesh and smile.
“I suppose I’ll go hunting, and bring some food back to the others before they awake.” She said, as she unsheathed her black claws and dug them into the dirt below, ready to get out onto the Herd Lands. Her maw was dry, and a she was slightly hungry.

"Alright, my love. You be careful, though. You never know when They go hunting." He settled down to watch the on-goings of his lands, alert to any signs of ill-nature.

In one of the caves below, a young male stirred. He blinked sleepily, yawning. He hadn't been a member of the pride for long, but things seemed to be turning out well. He stretched, picking his way past sleeping lions and lionesses to the cave's entrance. He froze as a familiar voice squealed, "Vissssssnaaa! Where are you going?" A young cub bounded over, ignoreing the grumbles of the disturbed occupants of the cave. "Shhh! You just woke up have the pride!" he hissed.

Sanura’s cry echoed off the stone walls, awakening practically everyone within the caved area. Rasalin blinked open her light blue eyes and lifted her head wearily to see Sanura and Vissna at the opening of the cave. She smiled silently to herself as she watched them from where she still lay within one of the caves below the Pride Rock. She let out a yawn and flicked her tail back and forth. She knew she should get up soon, but instead she decided to stay where she was now and watch Sanura and Vissna silently.

Sanura merely ignored him, bouncing playfully about his large, heavy feet. "C'mon, Vissna! Let's go!" She squealed, nearly as loud as the last time. "Sanura, I told you! Quiet! Everyone else is trying to sleep!" She pouted this time, and stopped her jumping about. He ignored her pouting, just as she had done with his command, and scanned the crowd of lions in the cave to see how much damage had been done. His eyes stopped on a blue form. Sanura followed his gaze and scowled. Why was he looking at her?

Rasalin smiled as she met eyes with Vissna. She then stood and began to weave her way in-between the other lions and lionesses, who were now giving up on sleep, and wearily rising for the day. As she came to stand in front of Sanura and Vissna she smiled again. She then walked around them playfully and out more into the open terrain.
“So where were you two off to?” she asked, turning to looked back at the two. She wanted to go out onto the surrounding areas. She and Vissna hadn’t been in the Pride for very long, and she hadn’t gotten the chance to explore.

Sanura continued to glare, as if it would drive the older lioness back and into the cave...away from her Vissna. "Well...I wanted to get a better look around the place...but I get the feeling..." Here he motioned towards Sanura, "That we shouldn't stray too far from the area. Who knows what trouble we could get in..." Sanura, fortunately, took no notice of his motion. She was to busy trying to death-staer Rasalin back into the cave. ((X.X Shorttttt.... ))

Out on the horizon a young white cub stirred, he had eyes that were the color of light green, he held a secret blood in him. He moved forward towards the rock. His pelt was simple; pure white. He had the mark on his shoulder of a drakka.
A blue shaped creature, pulled with stealth flew behind the white cub. Invisible to everyone but the cub, the creature moved. This creature was not feline, but reptile, a water dragon to be exact. "Maaaaaaaaaaster...we have arriiiiiiiiiived." The creature said in a hiss.
The white lion cub nodded, climbing the great rock formation, the cub stood at the summit. "Daku... [Geez.]" He said in his native tounge. "This place is worse compared to home." The cub muttered. His tail flicked a couple of times, the tail became burning, white flames appeared from where the lion tail used to be. His eyes began to glow strangely as he looked up at the king and queen. "Nano ika sa... " He said to himself.

[Luitcsh, I don't know a thing about your character, would you please post his bio in character creations?]
Sock yawned, huddling in the dark corner of the cave. He did not wan't to wake up, like his usual self. The cub stirred, feeling the lions and lioness' around him move, one squishing him against the wall. Sock murred, rolling over and lazily getting up. He blinked, getting the fuzzy look out of his eyes and yawning. The cub looked up to see Sanura, Vissna and Rasalin awake. Smiling, he walked towards them, picking spots in the ground to place his legs. "Hey Sanura" he said as he got towards her, "Oh, hi Vissna and Rasaline" he added, almost forgetting they were there. Really, he hoped his cheeks weren't a bright red, becuase Sanura didn't know he liked her.

|| Frankly, the Queen isn’t exactly there on the rock at the moment, luitcsh, though I will bring her to in now.
Also, Aeria is quite right, please do find time to post a little of your character, luitcsh. ^-^ ||
Rasalin sat down, looking at them, and noticed Sanura’s glare which she merely rose an eyebrow questionably to. She then looked back to Vissna.
“I know what you mean. It could be dangerous to go too far from the Pride Rock.” She said with a knowing gleam in her eye, as she gave smile to Sanura, immune to her daggering stares. “Though, I had wanted to see the jungle.” Rasalin continued with a frown. She heard it was beautiful there, but she wanted to see beyond the thick tree and what was inside its cool shadows. Suddenly she heard someone else wake up and she smile down at the little cub.
“Hello Sock.” She said, smiling still, because she hoped this would stop Sanura from glaring at her any more.

Cleo took her final leap towards the beautiful Pride Rock, which still bathed in the golden sunlight. As she made her way up to the massive rock, she grimaced as she recalled her latest confrontation with Nasiche. Had Aakesh known all along that her own mate had done such horrid things to her? Had he known when he’d banished her? Surely not.
Her troubled thoughts were interrupted as she saw the small group of lions just outside of the lower dens in the caves of the Pride Rock. She pushed the thought from her mind and brushed them away with a flick of her tail, as she neared the small group.
“Hello all. I dare say you’ve all had a nice slumber?” she asked as she neared them, a smile forming on her face. It was nice to see them out today; somehow it seemed to calm her worried mind, especially as she noticed the two cubs. Cubs always had seemed to change her mood for the best.

Vissna nodded to Rasalin. "Yeah, the jungle would be nice...but I've heard it's best at night." Besides...the cubs would be asleep by the time they left. Sanura was rather annoyed that her glaring didn't bother Rasalin. Didn't she get it! Vissna was claimed! "Oh, hi Sock" She muttered, not paying much attention to the other cub. Sure, he was a fun playmate, but nothing more to her. As far as she was concerned, Vissna was her mate. Vissna looked up at the approach of the queen, before swiping his paw to the side in a sort of bow. The fact that another female was around only further soured Sanura's mood. "Delightful, my Queen. Yours?" Came Vissna's reply.
((Sorry Sanura's not having much to do with sock...she may get playing with him if he's persistant))
